Globe projection tests
Video to the left gives an example of different viewing angles and the effect that additional lighting has on the projections.
For making the effects look as clear as possible we've made the globe environment very dark but the effect works surprisingly well in indoor daylight conditions or with a light directly shining onto the globe.
Videos below give you a selection of possible abstract effects. We think the most effective patterns use clearly defined thin lines and small dots or particles against a dark background. Any bright patches can feel blinding and any recognisable shapes can get distorted quickly unless we place them at the centre of the globe at quite a small scale.
