Ophelia in her water tomb under the magnificent arches of St Mary Redcliffe Church, Bristol, part of the 'Ophelia' installation by Studio McGuire - Davy and Kristin McGuire, inspired by Shakespeare and pre-Raphaelite art.

OPHELIA

Ophelia is a haunting projection installation that reimagines Shakespeare’s tragic heroine as a luminous hologram, suspended in her final breaths within a water basin.
Drawing from Millais’ iconic painting, the work weaves together literature, pre-Raphaelite beauty and contemporary technology to create a contemplative meditation on femininity, fragility and the enduring portrayal of women and death in art and society.
