Bell Jar Fairies

Position: Installed so they create a corridor leading up to Ophelia.

Production: Twelve fairy cabinets will need to be fabricated locally, as the existing set is allocated to another exhibition. The cabinets are constructed from 3mm laser-cut plywood with a stained finish. Vector files for cutting and an instructional video are available. Equipment can be sourced from Amazon, and bell jars can be purchased from Temu. Both the media players and the bell jar decorations can be preloaded or prepared in the UK and shipped as needed. No blackout is needed, and audio is local to each fairy cabinet. Material and Equipment Costs ca. £3-4k in the UK.

Grains of Recollection

Position: Somewhere in the centre of a small room.

Currently a single-user VR experience, the work will be simplified and expanded into an installation featuring 5–6 VR headsets suspended from the ceiling, with a physical miniature paper model at the center. A ca. £900 production budget is required for this development. No blackout is needed, and audio is limited to the headsets.
