Often we try to create immersive experiences that transcend the dazzling noise of spectacles, inviting audiences inward —toward introspection and empathy—by telling stories about melancholy, nostalgia, longing, fragility, and the bittersweet.
At IBSIC (Image Beyond the Screen International Conference) in Lille last month we gave a keynote about exactly this and judging from the buzzing audiences' responses it seems like we touched on something important... watch this space.

Our immersive holographic projection Ascendance captures this vision, as one review noted it "invites you to quite literally take a pew and immerse yourself in a cinematic journey that is first terrifying, then sorrowful, then movingly jubilant." Ascendance is currently playing on a 20m wide semi-transparent LED screen at the Expo Sunderland Pavillion.
